Local sketchbooks and topic sketches...

Before I post some art I have some big news!  For those of you in the Charlotte area you can now get vol 5 & 6 of the Big Dog's Studio sketchbook at Heroes Aren't Hard to Find on 7th Street!  Same price I charger at shows and online ($3.00 each), just without shipping costs! They're in the back right of the store with all the mini comics and other things from local creators. I stop in from time to time to pick up my books, so if you want a sketch have them stick your copy in my bag and I'll be glad to do a quick headsketch on them for FREE!

Onto the art!  We've been doing warm-up/topic sketches over the last few Sketch Charlotte meetings. Something to tie us together and loosen us up for the meetings. Last night's topic was: kid Superheroes or superhero kids. It's a loose idea, so I went with an animated Spider-Man. I youtube'd some intro clips from various cartoons this weekend with my 2 year old son (he LOVES Spider-Man!) and I grabbed a quick screen scrape from the Spectacular Spider-Man that Cheeks worked on. Not my typical style, but I loved the pose, so I thought I'd give it a go!

Here are a few other sketches I did over the last few weeks. Topics were monkeys and elephants...
